Emmanuel Ahmadu, a Mass Communication graduate from the University of Benin, has been awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree in International Affairs by Global Seminary University in New York, USA. This accolade recognizes his significant contributions to mental health awareness and suicide prevention globally.
Ahmadu's journey to success was challenging; he attempted the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and General Certificate Examination (GCE) 17 times before gaining admission to the University of Benin. His perseverance and resilience have earned him numerous awards, including the International Award for Student Brand of the Year in West Africa.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Ahmadu’s family helped fund his master's education in the United States. He attended Cleveland State University for School Counseling before transferring to Cuyahoga Community College to strengthen his foundation in Human Services.
His dedication to mental health advocacy led him to establish the R.I.S.E Global Voices Organization, which promotes resilience, inclusion, self-care, and empowerment among adolescents and youth. Ahmadu’s initiatives have reached over 10 million young people globally through school programs, media engagements, and interviews with major media outlets.

Ahmadu is currently a Peer Reviewer and Judge with the U.S. Federal Department of Education for the School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMH) and Mental Health Services Professional Demonstration (MHSP) grant programs. He also serves on three American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) State Board committees: Walk Committee, Advocacy Committee, and Education Committee.
Receiving his honorary doctorate is both a recognition of his past achievements and a motivator for future endeavors. Ahmadu plans to collaborate with young champions and survivors to foster a supportive environment and aims to launch a social networking platform to connect and train young people worldwide.
