FULAFA Hosts 13th Annual National Conference on English Language Teaching
The Federal University of Lafia held a successful conference from September 2 to 6, 2024, focusing on advancements in English Language Teaching and the implementation of 21st-century skills.

The Federal University of Lafia recently hosted the 13th Annual National Conference/Workshop of the Association for English Language Teaching. Themed “Advances in ELT for Pedagogical Implementation of 21st Century Skills,” the conference attracted participants from across Nigeria and featured notable international guests from Senegal and Burkina Faso.
Among the distinguished international attendees were Racine Dia from Senegal and Marie Clémence Bancé from Burkina Faso, who enriched the conference experience with their insights and contributions. The gathering facilitated a platform for educators, researchers, and practitioners to engage in meaningful discussions on the latest advancements in English Language Teaching (ELT) and the integration of 21st-century skills into pedagogical practices.
Participants described the conference as highly rewarding, highlighting the valuable presentations and interactions that took place. Key topics addressed included innovative teaching strategies, technology integration in language education, and the importance of equipping students with critical thinking and communication skills essential for the modern world.
