The Faculty of Management Sciences, Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa, is organizing its maiden annual conference on Resource Management from August 26 to 29, 2024.
The conference, themed "Resilient Resource Management Amidst Economic Turmoil: Strategies for Sustainable National Development," will take place at the university's MIS Hall.
A statement signed and made available to News Men, by the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Dr. Ogbu James Ogbu and the Secretary, Comr. Becky Mnena Kajo indicates that the Executive Governor of the Nasarawa State, HE Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule is expected to grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour.

The event, which will be chaired by the Fmr. Governor of Nasarawa State and Fmr Senator Representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District, HE distinguished Senator Tanko Almakura, will feature an erudite scholar and Founder Al-Ansar University, Maiduguri, Borno State, Dr Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, min. as the keynote speaker while a renowned accounting scholar from Bayero University, Prof Kabiru Isa Dandago, will serve as the conference Lead presenter.

Also, the Director, Institute of Money and Capital Market Studies at the Nasarawa State University and the first professor of Capital Market in Africa, Prof. Uche Uwaleke will feature at the event as the Lead Presenter II

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman and the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Muhammad Isa Kida will feature as chief host and host of the event respectively.
The Conference which will also feature sub- themes not limited to, “Financial Strategy for economic Sustainability, Cost optimization and efficiency, Sustainable resource allocation, Responsible borrowing and debt management among others, will have His Royal Majesty, Emir of Lafia Bare Bari, Chairman of Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Justice Sidi Boge Muhammad1 (rtd) as royal father of the day.
Academics and researchers are invited to submit abstracts and full papers that align with the conference theme and sub themes that address optimal resource management in an economically uncertain era.
The University community, captains of industry, researchers, political leaders, corporate organizations, academics, government officials, entrepreneurs, students, and the general public are all invited to attend.
