The Governing Council of the University of Calabar ha promoted 15 academic staff to the rank of professors.

UNICAL Promotes 15 Academic Staff to the Rank of Professors

The University of Calabar has elevated 15 of its academic staff to the professorial cadre. This announcement was made by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Florence Obi, who shared the news with the university community. The promotions include 8 new Professors and 7 Associate Professors

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof Florence Obi who disclosed the information to the University Community said 8 Professors and 7 Associate Professors were involved.

Those elevated to the rank of Professors are Dr Otasowie Daniel Osunde (Oral & Maxilofacial Surgery), Dr Benjamin Udoh (Radiography & Radiological Sciences), Dr Affiong Andem Ibanga ( Ophthalmology), and Dr Ann Mofunanya (Plant & Ecological Studies).

Others include Dr Ogbuagu Ugorji Udensi (Genetics & Biotechnology), Dr Okorie Osonwa (Sociology), Dr David Imbua (Hist & Int Studies) and Dr Aniefiok Uko (Crop Science).
