FULafia Lecturer Dr. Jonathan Okewu to feature in International art exhibition in Darkar, Senegal

From the Department of Industrial Design, Federal University of Lafia, Dr Jonathan Okewu will be showcasing his conceptual ceramic artistry, along side nine other international artists in Dakar Senegal in an art showcase tagged: "Perspectives."

The exhibition will be opening from May 16 to June 31, 2024 at the  Sun Art gallery, Yoff road to airport, Villa n 163, Dakar Senegal

Dr. Jonathan Okewu is a conceptual ceramic artist. He adopts an innovative approach that transcends traditional methods of ceramic production, thus opening new horizons through clay. His unique method of artistic creation in ceramics has earned him several awards for the originality of his work. Through his pieces, he revives African cultural values, exploring everything from folkloric masks to the representation of social behaviors.
