As the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) prepares to celebrate its 6th, 7th, and 8th combined convocation ceremonies, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has expressed the university's commitment to sustaining research initiatives and infrastructure development.

In a press briefing held as part of the convocation activities, Professor Abdul Rahman highlighted FULafia's growth over the past 13 years, emphasizing its emergence as a hub for research and academic excellence.
Achievements and Commitments:
The university, founded in 2011, has established 14 research and resource centers, showcasing its dedication to advancing knowledge across various disciplines.
FULafia boasts a College of Medicine, Schools of Basic and Remedial Studies, and Postgraduate Studies, with 53 departments and 12 faculties.
Professor Abdul Rahman affirmed the institution's commitment to fostering a collaborative environment, stating, "We are working in this university as a team, to make a meaningful and sustainable impact."

The upcoming convocation ceremonies will witness the graduation of 6,499 students, with 50 achieving first-class honors.
Convocation Highlights:
A convocation lecture is scheduled for February 9, 2024, featuring Brigadier-General Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), the Chairman and CEO of the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The ceremonies will culminate on February 10, 2024, with the presentation of certificates to graduating students and the investiture of FULafia Chancellor, HRH Abubakar Isa Ahmadu.
These milestones signify FULafia's dedication to academic excellence, research advancements, and overall growth. The university stands poised to make a lasting impact in the educational landscape, ensuring its graduates are well-equipped for success in their respective fields.
