The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved several key appointments and reappointments within the university’s administration.

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved several key appointments and reappointments within the university’s administration.

Professor Abdulrazaq B. Abdulrahman has been reappointed as the Deputy Dean of the Student Affairs Division for a period of two years, effective from August 27, 2024. This reappointment reflects the confidence the university has in his leadership and dedication to student welfare.

In addition, Professor Josephine Odey has been reappointed as the Head of the Department of Arts and Social Science Education, also for a two-year term starting from August 30, 2024. Her continued leadership is expected to further enhance the department’s academic excellence.

According to a statement issued by the Registrar of FULafia, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, the Vice-Chancellor has also made new appointments. Dr. Susan Anthony Dimgba has been appointed as the Acting Head of the Department of Visual and Creative Arts, with her appointment taking effect from August 28, 2024. Dr. Justina Omotayo has been appointed as the Head of the Department of Foundations Studies, effective from August 30, 2024. Both appointments are for a period of one year.

These appointments are part of the Vice-Chancellor’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the university’s academic and administrative leadership. The university community looks forward to the positive contributions these leaders will bring to their respective departments.
