FULafia VC congratulates staff and students on the New Year

On behalf of the Management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), I extend my warm wishes to the entire staff, students, partners and other stakeholders of our University on the occasion of the 2024 New Year Celebrations.

We thank the Almighty God for granting us the grace to see the beginning and end of the year 2023 despite the socio-economic, political and security challenges witnessed in the country.

I want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to all our, students, staff, stakeholders and members of our local communities for supporting the activities of our University throughout the out gone year.

As we begin a new year, I urge you all to continue to join hands with the Management of the University to consolidate on the successes recorded in 2023. 

New Year, it should be noted, is not just about celebrations and making resolutions; it is more than what meets the eye. It symbolises motivation for many new beginnings and rededication to the right things we used to do.

I assure you that my administration will continue to implement policies and programmes that improve teaching, learning, research and welfare of staff and students. 

The University shall continue to work closely with the state government, security agencies and relevant authorities to ensure adequate security of lives and property in and around the campuses. 

As we resume work after the Christmas and New Year break, I look forward to seeing every one of you better and healthier imbued with a stronger resolve to make FULafia realise its vision and mission.

I urge you not to relent in your prayers for the peace, progress and security of our country, in general, and our University, in particular.
