FUNAAB Mourns the Passing of Chief Olatunde Ayinla Abudu

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Chief Olatunde Ayinla Abudu, a revered patriarch and distinguished elder statesman, who died on June 9, 2025, at the age of 96.

Chief Abudu was fondly remembered as a foremost industrialist, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, who lived an impactful life marked by service, wisdom, and devotion to humanity. His legacy continues to resonate across generations of leaders, professionals, and students who benefitted from his exemplary life and values.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, on behalf of the entire University Community, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Abudu family, praying for Allah’s mercy and eternal peace upon the soul of the departed.

The University Management was represented at the burial by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, Prof. Mufutau Atayese, and the Chief Imam, Prof. Idris Ayinde. Chief Abudu was laid to rest according to Muslim rites at the Nobel House College, Abeokuta.
