The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Odeda Farmers Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited has received strategic empowerment support from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS) to scale agricultural productivity and strengthen members’ operational capacity.

The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Odeda Farmers Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited has received strategic empowerment support from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS) to scale agricultural productivity and strengthen members’ operational capacity.

The intervention package includes a power tiller, water pump, knapsack sprayers, fertilizer, pepper and tomato seeds, a grinding machine, planter, Ultimate Plus, insecticides, and fungicides—assets positioned to accelerate mechanisation, improve input efficiency, and optimise crop yield.

Receiving the items on behalf of members, the President of the Cooperative, Mr. Ayorinde Isaiah, expressed appreciation to the Ministry for what he described as a timely and impactful intervention. He assured stakeholders that the equipment and inputs would be deployed responsibly to enhance food production, increase operational efficiency, and improve members’ economic outcomes.

The empowerment initiative is projected to deepen mechanised farming practices within the Cooperative, strengthen value-chain activities, and contribute meaningfully to local food security objectives.
