The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is poised to host its 94th Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The event will take place at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building, commencing at 2 p.m.
Titled "Afrocentric and Gendered-Constructions of Psychological Well-Being in Families: The Sojourn of a Gender Scholar," the lecture will be delivered by the esteemed Prof. Grace Oluseyi Sokoya from the Department of Home Science and Management, College of Food Sciences and Human Ecology (COLFHEC).
As a distinguished scholar in Gender and Family Studies, Prof. Sokoya will delve into innovative strategies aimed at enhancing psychological well-being within families, framed through an Afrocentric and gendered lens. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights drawn from her extensive research in this vital area.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, will serve as the Chief Host for the occasion.
