The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in collaboration with the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and Ajogbe Agro-Allied, has received an “Outstanding” rating under the United Kingdom Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme for a joint innovation in livestock feed production.
The Certificate of Excellence was awarded following the successful execution of the FUNAAB–UWS–Ajogbe Feed Project, which was coordinated by FUNAAB and focused on developing affordable, nutrient-rich livestock feed using locally available crop residues and agricultural waste.

The project was designed to address one of the major cost challenges in livestock production by reducing dependence on expensive conventional feed inputs. It also promotes sustainable agricultural practices through the productive reuse of agricultural by-products that would otherwise go to waste.
According to the partners, the innovation has demonstrated strong potential to lower production costs for farmers while improving feed availability and supporting environmental sustainability within the agricultural value chain.
