The Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) has announced plans to hold its 13th Matriculation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session.

According to an internal memorandum released by the Registrar, Mrs. Andabi Benita Amangi-Edomo, the event will take place as follows:

Date: Friday, December 20, 2024

Time: 10:00 a.m.

Venue: University Pavilion, East Campus

The memorandum outlines the formal procession schedule, which includes the Students' Procession, Congregation Procession, Senate Procession, and Principal Officers' Procession led by the Mace Bearer. Attendees are expected to arrive promptly, with the procession commencing at 8:30 a.m. and the ceremony officially starting by 10:00 a.m.

Collection and Return of Academic Gowns:

The institution has also provided guidelines for the collection and return of academic gowns. Fresh students are required to collect their gowns on the following dates:

1. Monday, December 16, 2024 – Faculty Officers, Senate Office

2. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 – Faculty Office (on presentation of school fees payment receipt)

Gowns must be returned by Monday, December 23, 2024. Students who fail to comply by 4:00 p.m. on the due date will incur a fine of ₦5,000 per day. Any lost or damaged gown will attract a replacement cost of ₦20,000, payable at the Bursary.

Faculty Officers are expected to return all gowns to the Senate Office by Monday, January 6, 2025 for inspection. Officers returning damaged gowns will bear the cost of replacement.

The university management emphasized the need for punctuality and strict adherence to the outlined procedures.
