The department's exceptional performance at the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) Annual International Conference & Exhibition garnered praise and recognition.

FUOYE's Geology team clinched the overall victory in the Inter-varsity Geoscience Challenge Bowl, showcasing the university's commitment to excellence in academic endeavors. Notably, Akingbade James Olaoluwa and Omidokun Rapheal Oluwadamilare distinguished themselves, securing the prestigious prize worth half a million Naira for FUOYE. Additionally, several lecturers from the department were honored for their exemplary contributions to the field.
