Olaniyi Israel Adewale, also known as Enny Percussions, a 300-level computer science student at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), has completed a remarkable 200-hour drumming marathon, aiming to set a new world record as an individual percussionist.

Olaniyi Israel Adewale, a student at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), has achieved a remarkable feat by completing a 200-hour drumming marathon, aiming to set a new world record as an individual percussionist.

Adewale, popularly known as Enny Percussions, embarked on his journey on April 29, initially attempting a 150-hour drumming session using an African talking drum. However, after surpassing the 150-hour mark, the determined 300-level computer science student decided to push himself further by adding an extra 50 hours to his marathon.

The Guinness World Records (GWR) acknowledged and approved Adewale's attempt, marking a significant milestone in his career as a percussionist. Expressing his gratitude on Instagram, Adewale thanked everyone who supported him throughout the grueling challenge, including those who attended, shared, and cheered him on during live sessions.

Achieved by Allister Brown in the UK, this record-setting attempt aimed to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer and honor Brown's late partner, raising substantial funds for charitable causes in the process.
