Engr. Agberagba’s election follows the historic tenure of outgoing NSE President Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, the first female President of the Society in its 65-year history. Engr. Agberagba’s distinguished career also includes serving as Vice President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), Chair of the Committee for Women in Engineering, President of APWEN (2006/2007), three-time Vice President of NSE, and Head of Institutional Continuity, Finance, and Administration on the Presidential Task Force on Power. She is currently General Manager of the Renewable Energy Department at the Niger Delta Power Holding Company.

Her election is widely seen as a continuation of breaking gender barriers and advancing inclusive leadership within Nigeria’s engineering profession.
