FUTA Appoints Three Professors to the Rank of Professor Emeritus
The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has conferred the title of Professor Emeritus on three distinguished academics: Emeritus Professor Adebisi Balogun, Emeritus Professor (Venerable) Akin Laseinde, and Emeritus Professor Labunmi Lajide.
The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has conferred the prestigious title of Professor Emeritus on three distinguished academics in recognition of their exceptional contributions to research, teaching, and service. This marks the second such conferment in recent years, following the decision of the University Senate and Governing Council.
The newly appointed Professors Emeriti, as announced by FUTA Registrar Mr. Charles Adeleye, include:

Emeritus Professor Adebisi Balogun, a former Vice Chancellor of FUTA, honored for his outstanding work in fish nutrition and biochemistry, as well as his leadership during and after his tenure.

Emeritus Professor (Venerable) Akin Laseinde, the former University Chaplain, recognized for his academic excellence in poultry production and management, and his spiritual leadership within the FUTA community.

Emeritus Professor Labunmi Lajide, celebrated for his contributions to analytical chemistry and natural products research.
