FUTA Physical Planning Staff Elected Chairmen of Professional Bodies in Ondo State

Four senior staff members were recently elected as chairmen of their respective professional bodies in Ondo State, reflecting their expertise and leadership in the built environment sector.
The elected chairmen include:
- Architect Adetunji Bello, newly appointed Director of Works and Physical Planning at FUTES, Iyin-Ekiti, and Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Ondo State
- QS Akinlolu Fadiyimu, Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Ondo State
- Engineer Razaq Ejibunu, Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), Ondo State
- Chief Tech. Officer Builder Oladele Omonagbe, Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), Ondo State

Engr. Boyinbode emphasized that the visit was intended to showcase the high calibre of staff within the Directorate, noting that the four chairmen are highly respected professionals with significant experience. He also highlighted his own recognitions as Best Branch Engineer in Ondo State by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) for 2023 and 2024, as well as the Directorate’s numerous accolades during the Vice Chancellor’s tenure. He thanked the university management for enabling staff to reach the pinnacle of their professions and acknowledged Professor Oladiji’s support and encouragement.
In her remarks, Vice Chancellor Professor Oladiji commended the achievements of the Directorate staff, noting that the election of four members as chairmen demonstrates both their expertise and professional integrity. She highlighted the Directorate’s contributions to FUTA’s infrastructure, including supervision of projects like the Forestry and Wood Technology Camp building and campus car parks.
Professor Oladiji urged the newly elected chairmen to uphold the university’s reputation, mentor junior staff, and inspire others to emulate their professional excellence. She also praised the Directorate for maintaining integrity in project supervision and encouraged them to continue serving with diligence and high standards.

The visit served both as formal recognition of the staff’s professional accomplishments and as a platform to showcase their leadership roles within and beyond the university.
