FUTMINNA: SAAT and SSTE Launch SIWES Orientation for 2024/2025 Academic Year

The Schools of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT) and Science and Technology Education (SSTE) at the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna), have commenced the orientation for the 2024/2025 Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES). The first phase of the orientation was held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Caverton Hall, SAAT, Main Campus.
During the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, represented by the Dean of SAAT, Prof. Jacob Haruna Tsado, addressed 400-level students, urging them to fully engage in the 24-week industrial training. He emphasized the critical importance of focusing on their areas of specialization, noting that practical experience is key to complementing classroom learning.
"Hands-on experience will prove invaluable in your future careers," Prof. Kuta advised, encouraging students to merge theoretical knowledge with practical applications for a successful professional journey.
