The Student Union Government (SUG) at FUTO has introduced a waste management initiative, placing new waste bins in all hostels.

The Student Union Government (SUG) at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), through the Office of the Director of Welfare, has launched a new waste management initiative to promote public wellness.

As part of this initiative, waste bins have been distributed to all hostels, with the support of the Hostels Executive. The SUG encourages students to actively participate in proper waste disposal to maintain a clean and healthy environment within the hostels and surrounding areas.
