The University of Port Harcourt Senate has conducted peaceful and transparent elections to select representatives for interview boards tasked with appointing key university officials.

Professor Angela Frank Briggs and Professor Ikechukwu Abagwa were elected to serve as Senate representatives on the interview board for the substantive bursar position.

Additionally, Professor Eucharia Nwaichi and Professor Roland Uhunmwangho were chosen to join the interview board for the appointment of the next director of works.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Owunari Georgewill, commended the Senate for ensuring a harmonious and fair electoral process. He expressed confidence in the elected representatives, urging them to perform their duties with diligence and to act in the best interests of the institution.
