Gawuna Vows to Revolutionize Bayero University

Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the newly appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Bayero University, Kano, has pledged to make a positive impact and transform the institution into a greatness.

In an interactive session with the Vice Chancellor and management, Gawuna expressed his commitment to mobilizing resources and expertise to enhance the university's growth, despite funding challenges.

"I am eager to utilize my network and influence to make Bayero University a beacon of excellence," he said.

Gawuna has already begun reaching out to corporate organizations, individuals, and government agencies to secure support for the university.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, briefed Gawuna on the university's strengths and challenges, including poor funding and high electricity costs.

With a student population of 40,000 and 200 programs, Bayero University is poised for growth, and Gawuna's leadership is expected to bring significant improvements.
