The National Universities Accounting Students Association (NUASA) of Benue State University successfully held a two-day seminar titled "Elevate Your Job Readiness," aimed at equipping final year students with essential job-hunting skills.

In a bid to prepare its final year students for life after graduation, the National Universities Accounting Students Association (NUASA) at Benue State University, Makurdi, organized a comprehensive two-day job hunting skills seminar from November 22 to 23, 2024. The event, titled "Elevate Your Job Readiness," was held at the MBA Hall in the Faculty of Management Sciences.

The seminar featured an opening prayer, followed by speeches from Dr. Luper Iorpev, the immediate past Head of Department, and Dr. Aondoakaa Kwaghfan, the current HOD, who expressed their gratitude to the facilitators and encouraged the students to be attentive and actively participate in the sessions.

The program was spearheaded by Tersur Benjamin Tseror ACA, the former president of NUASA, alongside other experienced alumni including Terhemba Tsepav and Sesugh Terwase. The facilitators shared valuable insights on crucial aspects of job hunting, including:

The event also included a vibrant session moderated by Mr. Fanyanter Tyoakoso, with special recognition given to the Comr. Wuna Mfa Jeremiah-led Executive Council (EXCO) of NUASA for their organization of the seminar.

Sen. Comr. Abeega William Nguagee, the Secretary-General of NUASA, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and the engagement of the students, highlighting the importance of such seminars in equipping students with the skills needed to navigate the competitive job market after graduation.

With the successful completion of the seminar, the NUASA community is optimistic that its members are now better equipped to face the challenges of job hunting with confidence and skill.
