Gbongan Student Union Adopts New Logo in Preparation for the Upcoming Year

Gbongan Student Union Unveils Fresh Logo as New Year Approaches
The New and the Old Logos

In a significant development, the Gbongan Student Union has bid farewell to its decade-old emblem, introducing a new logo as the year comes to an end. This transformative change, marked by the conclusion of the tenth month of the current administrative year, was first proposed during the July 1st Congress.

The decision to revamp the logo was driven by several key factors, as outlined in the Congress meeting:

1. Alignment with Legal Name: The former logo's depiction of the headquarters was found to be incorrect, not reflecting the constitutionally prescribed name under which the union can sue or be sued.

2. Modern User Experience: The old logo was deemed outdated and lacked the sharpness and visual appeal expected in contemporary user experiences.

3. Eliminating Repetition: The reference to "Gbongan" after the misspelled "headquarter" was considered redundant, as Gbongan already houses the National Secretariat.

4. Maintaining the Association's Name The official name of the association, "National Association of Gbongan Students," remains unchanged.

5. Updated Letterhead Format: The new National Headquarters letterhead format is "National Association of Gbongan Students NAGS National Headquarters," while the chapters' letterhead format is "National Association of Gbongan Students NAGS (chapter's name) Chapter" (e.g., National Association of Gbongan Students NAGS Futa Chapter).

These considerations prompted the logo's overhaul, although certain branding elements and design features were preserved to honor the legacy of the organization, which dates back to its inception at FEGSU and continued through to NAGS.

The decision to modernize the emblem aims to reflect the union's evolving identity and its commitment to upholding the ideals and traditions instilled by its founders.

The announcement concluded by inviting opinions and welcoming the new month with enthusiasm and celebration.
