Gombe State University Inducts New Chemistry Students into Chemical Society of Nigeria

The Department of Chemical Sciences, Gombe State University, in collaboration with the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Gombe State Chapter, successfully conducted the Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony for newly inducted Chemistry students at the New Multipurpose Hall, Gombe State University.

Held under the theme “Chemical Sciences as a Catalyst for Innovation and Development in Nigeria,” the event marked an important professional milestone for the students as they were formally admitted into the Chemical Society of Nigeria.

The ceremony was attended by eminent academics and professionals, including the President of CSN, Prof. Rufus Sha’ato, FCSN, as Special Guest of Honour, and the Vice-Chancellor of Gombe State University, Prof. Sani Ahmed Yauta, as Chief Host. The programme was hosted by the Head of Department, Chemical Sciences, Prof. Nasiru Yahaya Pindiga, FCSN, with Alh. Abdurrazaq Banaru Abubakar, FCSN, Chairman, CSN Gombe State Chapter, as Co-Host. The Guest Speaker, Alh. Buba Shanu, FCSN, emphasized innovation, ethics, and the role of chemistry in national development.
