GOU students to start wearing uniforms to school

The management of Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, has introduced the use of school uniforms by all students of the institution with effect from the 2022/2023 session, Myschoolnews report.

The students are to wear their faculty uniforms with appropriate ties and shoes henceforth.

The institution's vice-chancellor, Christian Anieke, gave the order on Tuesday, January 10, saying the move became necessary in order to curb indecent dressing among students.

The vice-chancellor also warned that no student is expected to wear slippers, rugged jeans, colored hair, long fingers, face caps, or artificial eyelashes.

He further condemned students and staff members who wear t-shirts with unauthorized inscriptions, as against the school’s dress code, and ordered male students to comb their hair properly or shave it.
