Gov Alia Appoints UNIJOS and NSUK Graduate Barr. Aber Serumun Deborah as New SSG

Governor Hyacinth Alia has announced the appointment of Barr. Aber Serumun Deborah as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). This follows the resignation of Prof. Joseph Alakali, who stepped down on Monday due to personal challenges.

Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday. He praised Barr. Aber as a seasoned solicitor and arbitrator, highlighting her strong analytical skills and collaborative spirit. Kula noted her commitment to excellence in her new role.

Barr. Aber, a graduate of the University of Jos and Nasarawa State University, brings extensive experience to the position. Governor Alia expressed confidence in her ability to contribute positively to the administration’s objectives and urged her to prioritize the state’s interests in her duties.

Her appointment is effective immediately.
