Gov. Sanwo-Olu Celebrates LASU VC,Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, Recognizes her among 150 EKO Aspire Women, In a personally signed letter, the newly re - elected Governor of the State, expressed his delight to celebrate the IWD with the Vice Chancellor, while extolling the role women play in the society. 

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has celebrated the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji - Bello, mni, and recognized her as one of the 150 Eko Aspire Women in commemoration of this year's International Women's Day, which held on 8th March. The theme of this year's International Women's Day is #EmbraceEquity.

In a personally signed letter, the newly re - elected Governor of the State, expressed his delight to celebrate the IWD with the Vice Chancellor, while extolling the role women play in the society.

He said, "Today, we celebrate all women and girls in the world and the infinite opportunities that they deserve, and we chose to embrace equity and promote inclusion in place of prejudice and discrimination...Lagos State celebrates you on this day and always, as a woman at the forefront of challenging the status quo. Against many odds, you continue to break glass ceilings and shatter stereotypes and to make your voice heard in places where cultures and circumstances try to stifle you. In doing so, you have inspired and continue to inspire the rest of us.", the Governor said

Recall that the Governor, in 2022, also named the Professor of Physiology and second female Vice Chancellor of the University as one of Eko 100 Women.
