On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State paid an unscheduled visit to the Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) Howai Miles Six in Jalingo, underscoring his commitment to improving the state's educational infrastructure.

During the visit, the governor conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the school's facilities, including its buildings, and identified areas in need of urgent attention. He emphasized the importance of providing students with a conducive learning environment, revealing plans to begin the rebuilding of the school soon.
