Governor Bago Cuts Abdulkadir Kure University Fees by 50% to Ease Economic Strain

Niger State governor, Umaru Bago, has approved a 50 percent reduction in the registration fees for students at Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna. This decision is part of the governor’s efforts to alleviate the financial burden on parents following the removal of the fuel subsidy.

The Pro-Chancellor of the university, Mohammed Yahaya-Kuta, announced the fee reduction during an interview in Minna on Saturday. He explained that the governor's gesture aims to ease the economic hardships faced by parents and students as a result of the subsidy removal.
