Green Energy Foundation Boss donates Trees to UNIDEL

The Chief Executive Officer of Green Energy Foundation, ECCCGEF, Engr. Chief Chukwemeka Chukwurah, has donated fifty tree seedlings to the University of Delta, Agbor to mark the burial of late Mrs Felicia Ada Owamah, nee Nwachuya.

Green Energy Foundation Boss donates Trees to UNIDEL

The Chief Executive Officer of Green Energy Foundation, ECCCGEF, Engr. Chief Chukwemeka Chukwurah, has donated fifty tree seedlings to the University of Delta, Agbor to mark the burial of late Mrs Felicia Ada Owamah, nee Nwachuya. 

Engr. Chukwurah who was represented at the occasion by the President, Engr Chief Chris Chukwurah said the donation was made to sustain the memory of the heroine and also to turn the University environment green inorder to fight climate change which has negatively impacted the society.

He said the goal also was to encourage people to go and grow green and use renewable energy.

Receiving the Tree seedlings, the Vice Chancellor Unidel, Prof Stella Chiemeke expressed Joy at the innovation adding that the trees will help preserve and protect the University environment.

Prof. Gideon Emelue later conducted the Tree planting ceremony which took place at the Agbor main campus as well as the Owa- Alero campus of the University.

Those who took part in the exercise were the VC  Prof. Stella Chiemeke, Representative of the Donor, Chief Chris Chukwura, a representative of the  Owamah family, Engr. Prof. Hilary owamah, Dean faculty of Engineering, Prof. Obiazi, Prof. Emelue, Academic Staff of the Faculty of Engineering and a Representative of the Engineering students.

Tree seedlings planted included Sour Sop, Native Pear, Bitter Kola, Pepper Fruit, Avocado pear and some Step Trees. 

A member Board of Trustees of ECCCGEF, Engr Stanley Dibigbo also attended the Tree planting ceremony.
