Honorable Barrister Faruku Abubakar Maisudan, the esteemed representative for Suru Constituency at the Kebbi State House of Assembly, has taken another significant step in supporting education within his community. In a notable event held today, he presented letters of admission to 23 students from Suru Local Government Area, granting them full scholarships to Kebbi State College of Health Sciences and Technology.
This initiative is part of Hon. Maisudan’s ongoing scholarship program aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for underprivileged students. The selected students, primarily female, will pursue various programs at the college, aligning with Hon. Maisudan's commitment to developing a robust healthcare workforce in all eleven wards of the constituency.
During the presentation, Hon. Maisudan emphasized the critical role of education in driving societal development and ensuring equitable growth. He affirmed his dedication to prioritizing education as a means to foster a prosperous and sustainable society. “Education is crucial for both individuals and society. It is why I give it special consideration in my role as a parliamentarian,” he remarked.
Each beneficiary will receive full coverage for registration fees and logistical expenses, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their academic progress. Hon. Maisudan urged the students to utilize this opportunity wisely and make the most of their educational journey.
The event was graced by notable figures, including the Chairman of the Maisudan Education Support Committee, Muhammad Nasir Haruna, the Principal of SHISA, Mal Nasir Mande, and the Principal of Arabic Secondary School Kaoje, Sheik Abubakar Aljannare, among others.
In a heartfelt vote of thanks, Lamido Dakingari Alh Jafar Haliru Mutube II praised Hon. Maisudan for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to education. He highlighted that today's event marks the third batch of the Maisudan Scholarships scheme, with previous scholarships awarded to students at Kebbi State Polytechnic and JIBEIS COE Jega.
