IAUE Issues Guidelines to Faculties of Agriculture and Technical Education Ahead of Their Upcoming Deanship Elections

The Deanship positions for the Faculties of Agriculture and Technical Education will be vacant effective Thursday, 8 August, 2024. Deanship elections for the two Facilities have been scheduled to hold on Monday, 5 August, 2024 .

IAUE Issues Guidelines to Faculties of Agriculture and Technical Education Ahead of Their Upcoming Deanship Elections

The Deanship positions for the Faculties of Agriculture and Technical Education will be vacant effective Thursday, 8 August, 2024. Deanship elections for the two Facilities have been scheduled to hold on Monday, 5 August, 2024.

By this notice, interested and eligible Professors are advised to commence their campaign for votes. Please note that posters and expensive hand bills are not allowed. The election shall be by simple nomination after accreditation in the hall.

The following constitute the guidelines for the election:

1. Date of Election: Monday, 5 August, 2024

2. Duration of Election: 10am to 2pm

3. Venue: Ndele Campus

4. Swearing in Ceremony: Friday, 9, 2024 

5. Eligibility: All academic Staff of the aforementioned Faculties, Sabbatical Leave Staff in the two Facilities are eligible and entitled to vote for the candidates of their choice, except the under mentioned persons.

a. Staff on adjunct appointment

b. Staff away on sabbatical leave from the University 

c. Staff on secondment

d. Staff on leave of absence

e. Staff on the Instructor’s cadre

6. Election Module:

a. Accreditation: 10am to 12noon

b. Voting: 12noon to 1pm

c. Counting and Announcement of Results: 1pm to 2pm.

7. Representative Agents: Each eligible candidate should provide and forward the name of his/her Agent to the Acting Registrar not later than Friday, 2nd August, 2024.

8. All campaigns for the election shall close by 12 midnight of Friday, 2nd August, 2024.

There shall be no campaign of any form on the day of the election. 

Take further notice that compliance with the election guidelines and module is strict and any breach of same by any Candidate, Agent or Staff shall be penalised.
