Ican Lafia District Congratulates Fulafia Bursar, Pledges Support

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN, Lafia and District Society has congratulated the Bursar of the Federal University of Lafia, FULafia, Mr Ovye James Aboki, on his appointment, pledging its continued support.

A delegation from the ICAN, led by the Chairman, Mr Titus Ashiki Haruna, described Aboki's appointment as a recognition of his diligence, professionalism, integrity and commitment to duty.

Haruna noted that Aboki, a Fellow of ICAN, served as a chairman of the Lafia District Society between 2022 and 2024 and he is, currently, serving as Ex-Officio II.

He commended the Management of FULafia for sustaining confidence in ICAN members, noting that Aboki was the third member of the institute appointed as the University's bursar.

Haruna urged the new bursar to build on the achievements of his predecessors to strengthen confidence in the accounting profession.

Responding, Aboki thanked the institute for the honour and support, assuring its members that he would discharge his responsibilities with diligence, transparency, accountability and integrity while justifying the confidence reposed in him by the University and the institute.
