Igbinedion University Inducts 29 New Doctors at 20th Oath-Taking Ceremony

Igbinedion University, Okada, celebrated a historic day with its 20th Oath-Taking and Induction Ceremony, officially welcoming 29 new medical doctors into the profession. The event, held yesterday, focused on the theme: “A Doctor and a Fulfilling Life,” emphasizing balance and purpose in a demanding career.

Addressing the inductees, Professor Ralph Adeghe, representing the Vice-Chancellor, reminded them that medicine is a transformative calling, but achieving fulfillment requires intentional balance to avoid burnout.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Eustace Oseghale, Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Edo State, urged the new doctors to define their path by passion rather than financial gain. He outlined empathy, ethical practice, communication, and advocacy as the hallmarks of a good physician.
