The Acting Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, Dr. Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, has reiterated his administration's commitment to supporting the Polytechnic's host community in fostering academic and infrastructural development. This pledge was made during a courtesy visit from the Ombi Community Development Association (OCDA) at his office on Monday.

Dr. Maifata emphasized that the advancement of any society relies on a reciprocal relationship, promising total dedication to enhancing the community as part of the institution's corporate social responsibility initiatives. He highlighted that since taking office, his administration has actively involved the host community as essential partners in the Polytechnic's growth.

Notably, Dr. Maifata mentioned that the amenities provided by the Polytechnic are accessible to both the institution's community and the residents of Ombi. He pointed out that the Polytechnic Clinic has recently expanded its staff in health, nursing, and pharmacy to cater to the increasing number of patients from both the school and the surrounding community.

Expressing his concern for the community, he stated his administration's focus on improving various sectors, including education, water supply, electricity, employment, healthcare, and security. He praised the community for their commitment and resilience.

During the visit, Mallam Hudu Danlami Usman, the head of the delegation and Ward Head of Ombi One, thanked Dr. Maifata for his unwavering support. He assured the Acting Rector of their loyalty and cooperation.

Mr. Emma Alanana Bitrus, the Secretary of the OCDA, informed Dr. Maifata about projects funded by the Nasarawa State Community and Social Development Agency, such as the construction of toilets and boreholes at the LGEA Practicing School, which serves the community's primary education needs. He requested additional support for water supply and other resources.

In a vote of thanks, the Polytechnic's Registrar, Zamani Habu Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to the visitors for their partnership in progress. The courtesy visit was attended by the Bursar, Zainab Dalhatu; former Acting Rector Augustine Ali Gabu; and the Director of Information, Public Relations, and Protocol, Mukhtar Wakeel.
