Imo Rep Awards Scholarship Grants To 100 Beneficiaries in Ideato
The beneficiaries, all from Ideato North and South constituency, gathered to receive grants aimed at supporting their educational pursuits.
On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, Barr. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu, the Member representing Ideato North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), presented scholarship grants to 100 beneficiaries from his constituency. These beneficiaries had previously participated and excelled in scholarship examinations held a few months ago.

The grant presentation ceremony took place at St. Dominic Savio Comprehensive Secondary School, Ntueke, in the Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State. The beneficiaries, all from Ideato North and South constituency, gathered to receive grants aimed at supporting their educational pursuits.
Mr. Sylvester Durukwuaku, the chairman of the Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere Educational Development Committee, addressed the beneficiaries during the event. He praised Barr. Ugochinyere for his initiative, attributing it to his passion and unparalleled commitment to the education of children in Ideato.

Durukwuaku announced that the scholarship grant would be an annual program designed by Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere. The program aims to support and encourage students, parents, and guardians who need assistance to secure a brighter future. He added that it was Ikenga’s desire to enable intelligent students from the most disadvantaged backgrounds to access quality education.

Durukwuaku further urged the beneficiaries, which included students from Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary, and Tertiary levels, to appreciate the grant by excelling academically. He assured them that more opportunities would come in line with Ikenga’s educational projects for his beloved Federal Constituency.
