Islamic High School, Orita Basorun, Ibadan Old Students Association Elects New Executive Committee

A new eight-member National Executive Committee has been elected to steer the affairs of the Islamic High School, Orita Basorun, Ibadan Old Students Association for the next two years.

The election, conducted peacefully based on the delegate system at the Orita Basorun premises of the school, saw university Don, Dr. Bayo Busari, emerge as the national president.

Lateef Adesina and Muftau Olaniyi Zubair were re-elected as vice president and general secretary respectively for a second term. Other members of the committee include Omowumi Emmanuel, assistant general secretary; Olubisi Abiola Davies Ojo, public relations officer; Ismaila Oyebayo Bello, treasurer; Quadri Olorunseun Ishola, financial secretary; and Nafisat Yetunde Adejumo, welfare officer.

Dr. Busari urged the state government, under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde, to further collaborate with old students’ associations, stating that “government alone cannot fund education in the state.”
