Jigawa State College of Education SUG Assures Non-Participation in Nationwide Protest

The leadership of the Students Union Government (SUG) at Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel, has assured Governor Malam Umar Namadi that they will not participate in the proposed nationwide student protest scheduled for July 29, 2024.

In a letter dated July 27, 2024, SUG Secretary General Sagir Kabiru emphasized that the students are committed to maintaining peace and harmony. The letter acknowledged the governor's efforts in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students, noting the appointment of a Special Assistant on Students' Affairs as a significant step towards their welfare.
