Kaduna State Government Intervenes, Allows Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Students to Sit for Exams Despite Fee Payment Status

 In a surprise move, the Kaduna State Government has directed the management of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria to allow all students to sit for the forthcoming 2nd/4th Semester examinations, regardless of their school fees payment status.

The decision, announced on May 6, 2024, comes after the intervention of Amina Sani Bello, SSA Students Matters, and Senator Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State. The governor's directive overrides an earlier circular issued by the polytechnic management, which stated that students who had not paid their school fees would not be allowed to sit for the exams.

The Kaduna State Government has reduced school fees by 50% for all students, recognizing the financial difficulties faced by parents and residents of the state. This move is in line with Senator Uba Sani's vision for quality education in the state.
