Kaduna State Governor Approves New Retirement Age and Service Policy for Tertiary Institutions

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved a 65-year retirement age for academic staff and a 40-year service policy for non-teaching staff of state-owned tertiary institutions.

This decision follows a meeting between the Governor and leaders of the Joint Union of Tertiary Institutions (JUTIKS), which led to the suspension of a month-long strike.
