Kaduna State University Marks International Day of Persons with Disabilities with Empowering Lecture

Kaduna State University (KASU) celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) with a thought-provoking seminar on the theme: "Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future." The event was organized by the Department of Physiotherapy and took place on November 25, 2024, at the university’s Lecture Theatre, with a virtual link available for broader participation.
The Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Musa Tatbari, Chief Medical Director of Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, highlighted the importance of fostering inclusivity in all spheres of society. Alhaji Shitu Ibrahim Dikko, the Dangaladiran Wazirin Zazzau, served as the Father of the Day, offering insight into the significance of supporting persons with disabilities for a sustainable future.
The event featured distinguished speakers, including the Country Director of *Friends of Rehabilitation and Development (FReaulta),* Abuja, who shared vital perspectives on enhancing leadership among persons with disabilities. The event culminated in a lively discussion with attendees, ensuring the shared goal of creating an inclusive society for persons with disabilities.
