Kashim Ibrahim University Vice-Chancellor Charges Students on Hygiene, Security and Academic Excellence

The Vice-Chancellor of Kashim Ibrahim University, Professor Babagana Gutti, has charged students residing in the university hostels to maintain good personal hygiene, uphold discipline, remain security conscious, and focus on their academic pursuits.

Professor Gutti gave the charge during an inspection visit to the male and female hostels, where he interacted with students and assessed their living conditions.

He stressed the importance of cleanliness in promoting a healthy and conducive environment for learning and encouraged students to take responsibility for maintaining their hostels.

He urged the students to be worthy ambassadors of the university by demonstrating good character, obeying university regulations and projecting the institution's positive image both within and outside the campus.

The Vice-Chancellor assured the students of the management's commitment to improving their welfare and hostel facilities.

He disclosed that efforts are underway to fixes all sockets in hostel rooms, upgrade the existing solar power system, renovate toilet facilities, improve internet connectivity, and procure new mattresses and bunk beds to enhance students' comfort.

Speaking on campus safety, Professor Gutti described security as a collective responsibility and urged students to remain vigilant at all times.

He advised them to avoid unnecessary movement at odd hours, walk in groups whenever possible and promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the appropriate university authorities or security personnel. 

With the semester examinations approaching, Professor Gutti encouraged the students to remain dedicated to their studies and prepare adequately.

He urged them to shun all forms of examination malpractice and uphold the values of honesty, integrity and academic excellence.

He reaffirmed the university management's commitment to providing a safe, secure and conducive environment that supports quality teaching, learning and research, while assuring students that their welfare remains a top priority.
