The Management of Kaduna State University has sued for partnership with security agencies in the State, seeking in the areas of technology transfer, sharing of knowledge and intelligence.

Speaking on Monday, 21st August 2023 in the office of the Director, Department of State Security Service, Kaduna State Command, Mr Abdul Eneche, FSI, the Vice-Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa stated that the DSS has strategic importance in the nation, hence, the need to partner to secure lives and property and to maintain the peace enjoyed in the various campuses of the university and surrounding communities. 

He said without security, it is impossible to have smooth sailing in running the affairs of the university as such, establishing a mutual working relationship is paramount.

Prof. Musa intimated the host of the mandate given to the current administration by the State Government, to transform the university into a world-class standard. 

''In our aspiration to achieve this mandate, a strategic plan has been developed with 75 key indicators identified, with teaching excellence, research and community service as the major points," said the VC. 

Responding, the Director of Kaduna State Command, Mr Abdul Eneche, FSI congratulated the new Management of KASU and stated that the need to partner cannot be overemphasised which will bring about stability and progress.

He advised Management and the university security division to keep up with the task of sustaining the peaceful atmosphere on the various university campuses and vicinity. 

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Yushau Ango, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Muhammad Bashir, the Registrar, Samira Balarabe Esq, the Bursar, Hajiya Hauwau Dalhat, the University Public Relations Officer, Adamu Nuhu Bargo, the Special Assistant to the VC, Mallam Abdulazeez Aliyu Idris and the Protocol Officer of the University, Mallam Hadi Tanko.
