Kaduna State University (KASU) has taken a significant step towards bridging the gender gap in higher education leadership, hosting a transformative workshop in collaboration with York St. John University and the British Council.

The "Gender and Leadership in Higher Education" project, led by Principal Investigators Dr. Olalekan Adekola and Prof. Hauwa'u Evelyn Yusuf, aimed to address gender disparity in leadership positions. The workshop emphasized the importance of inclusive mentoring and cultivating future leaders.

KASU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa, reaffirmed the university's commitment to gender equality, highlighting the contributions of female leaders in the management team. He formalized the university's support by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the workshop organizers.
The Honourable Commissioner for Human Services and Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu, representing the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, commended the initiative and reaffirmed the administration's dedication to promoting women's inclusion in leadership roles.
The workshop featured a panel discussion with experts, interactive sessions, and a certificate award ceremony, empowering participants to advance gender equity in their professional endeavors.
