KASU Staff Earn Cybersecurity Certifications in National Capacity Building Programme

Nine staff members of Kaduna State University (KASU) have been awarded Certificates of Proficiency in Cybersecurity aftersuccessfully completing an intensive 11-week training programme organized by the Virtual Institute for Capacity Building in Higher Education (VICBHE).

The programme ran from 28th April to 15th July 2025 and was facilitated by the renowned Distinguished Professor Emeritus Peter Okebukola, OFR.

The training, which emphasized hands-on practical cybersecurity skills, is part of a broader initiative to strengthen the digital capacity of academic institutions across Africa.

The KASU participants performed excellently, with two earning the highest honour of Distinction Plus, four others achieving Distinction, two earning Credit, and one awarded Merit. The certified participants are:
