The First Lady of Kebbi State and founder of the NASARA Foundation, Hajiya Zainab Nasir Idris, has made a significant contribution to girls' education in the state by donating books, sanitary pads, and financial support to selected girls' schools. This initiative is part of her ongoing efforts to promote education and well-being among young girls and address barriers that hinder their academic progress.
Representing the First Lady, her daughter, Hajiya Balkisu Nasir Idris, emphasized that the donation under the NASARA Foundation primarily aims to support girls and other vulnerable groups facing challenges in the society. She encouraged the girls to stay committed to their education, stressing that the foundation’s support was designed to empower them to reach their full potential.
"I want you girls to know that each one of you can achieve great things in life. This support is here to help boost your morale and remind you of your potential," said Hajiya Balkisu.
Highlighting the importance of supporting girls in education, she acknowledged that many young women are forced to leave school due to early marriage and a lack of resources. She reassured the students that the NASARA Foundation would continue its efforts to ensure that girls in Kebbi have the opportunity to achieve their educational goals.
