Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN) participated in a one-day workshop on November 8, 2024, aimed at promoting the adoption of the ‘Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy in Tertiary Institutions in Kano State.’ The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education in collaboration with Heads of Tertiary Institutions and Gender Mobile Initiative.

Representing KHAIRUN, Hajiya Halima Sani Abubakar, Director of the Vice Chancellor’s Office; Hajiya Maryam Nuhu Jallah, Acting Director of Student Affairs; and student representative Aisha Aminu Bello contributed to discussions focused on campus safety measures and awareness.

The event addressed the establishment of Technical Working Groups in institutions across the state, which will oversee guidance and investigation processes related to harassment cases, thereby reinforcing a safer campus environment.
