Kogi State University Kabba Raises Alarm Over Fraudulent Recruitment Advert

Kogi State University Kabba has distanced itself from a recent recruitment advert making the rounds online.

The new university said it is not recruiting and urged the public to disregard fake online recruitment adverts

A statement signed by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Tade Oshaloto, said advertisement of positions for employment into Kogi State University was released on the 17th of August, 2023.

Oshaloto stated that candidates need not ‘know’ anyone to be considered.

He added that the recruitment process into lecturing positions in KSU Kabba will be strictly merit based and in adherence to due process of law.

“The attention of the management of Kogi State University, Kabba, has been drawn to a message making the rounds online about recruitment into the services of the institution.

The message claims that one ‘Alhaji Ibrahim’ with an accompanying phone number should be contacted for lecturing opportunities in our institution.

“Members of the public are to kindly note that this is a fraud that should be flagged down wherever it is found,” the statement read.

The University assured that investigation into the fraudulent activity is ongoing with a view to unmasking the perpetrator.

It urged the general public to report any useful tip that may lead to the arrest of the authors to the Police.
