Kwara State Polytechnic Joins NELFUND Student Loan Portal Expansion

The Management of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the inclusion of Kwara State Polytechnic among twelve newly onboarded state government-owned tertiary institutions on its student loan application portal.

This expansion follows the successful submission and verification of student data completeness and accuracy required from the institutions. With this addition, the total number of participating state government-owned tertiary institutions has increased from 36 to 48, with data from 121 institutions still outstanding.

During a courtesy call on His Excellency the Governor of Osun State, Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, Managing Director of NELFUND, expressed gratitude to all institutions that have submitted their data. He particularly recognized the exemplary leadership of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke of Osun State in facilitating this initiative.

NELFUND urges institutions yet to submit their data to the Student Verification Portal (SVS) to do so promptly, enabling their students to benefit from the scheme. It also encourages states with uploaded data to sensitize their students to apply, offering financial relief and supporting institutional revenue.

Students of Kwara State Polytechnic and other newly onboarded institutions can now apply for loans via nelf.gov.ng, fostering financial accessibility and support across the education sector.
